Symptoms

The variety and degree of symptoms change depending on each individual who suffers from dementia,
however below are some of the most common symptoms:

Difficulty recalling recent events
Difficulty making decisions and planning
Difficulty problem-solving
Difficulty judging distance / time / dates
Difficulty in language (understanding words)
Quick regular changes in moods

Causes

Dementia can be caused by a plethora of factors and the degree to which someone may be affected changes for each individual.

The most common include Alzheimer’s disease, when abnormal proteins damage the internal structure of brain cells; and Vascular dementia, when the oxygen supply to our brain is reduced (through a stroke or injury) and damages or kills brain cells.

There are other less common symptoms too, however the underlying problem is that this disease deteriorates our brain cells and damages neural pathways that were once being used every single day.

Through our neurofeedback software, we will create personalised programmes to ensure that these symptoms are kept to a minimum and de not interfere with your daily life, ensure your standard of living is kept as high as possible, and reducing the reliance on other remedies.
